When it comes to protecting perhaps the costliest single element in your home, regular maintenance will not only see everything operate efficiently, but it will also ensure that your heater’s lifespan increases beyond the norm.
2. Consider having your thermostats upgraded.  Modern technology means that thermostats can be even more accurate and reliable. When you consider the difference a one-degree increase in your home temperature makes to your heating bill, the cost of upgrading your thermostats will soon pay for itself.
3. Check that not only are your filters clean and functioning properly, but that the same can be said for the ducting behind them. There’s little point in wasting good money on a replacement filter each month if the air being pumped through it is filthy dirty because the ducts haven’t been cleared for years.
