One of the most common problems we come across with HVAC units we haven’t ourselves installed are hot and cold spots you can find throughout your home. Now there’s no need to worry of you recognize the symptoms, as more often than not there is a simple, inexpensive and efficient cure.
More often than not, the reason for hot and cold spots in your home can be put down to one, or a combination of the following:
Here at A&E Air Conditioning and Heating we find one of the most common problems with HVAC ducting is that that when an old HVAC unit gets replaced, the ducting doesn’t. Often, the original ducting was installed prior to many of today’s measuring tools had been developed, so much of it was guesswork. Get your ducting measured to ensure it is allowing your unit to do its job efficiently and effectively.
Zoning is important for your home. With most HVAC units you can set the temperature for each individual zone through the effective use of thermostats which open and close dampers in the ducting. Without zoning, you can create problems of some areas in your home being too warm, and others too cold.
Even if you have the perfectly designed ducting system, over time dust can build up in the corners and leaks can develop. Regular maintenance and checkups can avoid this happening.
It costs nothing to have us come out and give your current HVAC system a quick check over to see if everything is as it should be, so make sure you give us a call and schedule a visit as soon as you can.
