According to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) it is recommended that your air ducts should be cleaned once every 3-5 years. Of course, if a member of your family has any allergies, you should consider having us round to clean your HVAC ducting on an annual basis.
One of the problems with keeping HVAC ducting clean is the fact that because you can’t see inside it and notice the buildup of dust and mites, it doesn’t become part of your routine cleaning schedule. Out of sight is out of mind, so to speak.
In addition, cleaning your HVAC ducting isn’t the easiest of tasks, and if you’re not careful, you can actually damage it. After all, it is designed to deal with the passage of air, which is not exactly heavy, or abrasive. Here at A&E Air Conditioning and Heating we have all the right tools necessary for the safe and effective cleaning of any HVAC ducting system, ensuring that when we have finished, you should even find your home smelling fresher than usual, especially if you have pets!
You should never look upon having your HVAC air ducts cleaned as an unnecessary expenditure. There are two good reasons why you can benefit financially from having your ducts professionally cleaned. First off, a study conducted by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers found that cleaning out dirty air ducts can help reduce your energy usage by as much as 40 percent! Secondly, the better you look after your ducting, the longer it will last and the less frequently you are likely to need repairs.
Even if your current ducting looks clean, but you can’t access all of it, why not give us a call and ask us to come out and have a quick look for you. We don’t charge for inspections and even if there is some subsequent cleaning to be done, you’ll discover just how reasonable our prices are.
